Towns and cities all over Australia are celebrating spring with festivals and floral displays. Some of the best include:
- Floriade (Canberra Sept 14 – Oct 13) – celebrating everything green and growing.
- Carnival of Flowers (Toowoomba QLD Sept 20 – 29) – with a focus on home gardening and all things floral.
- Bright Spring Festival (Bright VIC Oct 19 – Nov 5) – celebrating gardens and gardening, local food, wine and art.
- Kyneton Daffodil & Arts Festival (Kyneton VIC Sept 5 – 15) – featuring the Kyneton Spring Flower Show.
- Spring Festival of Flowers (Hunter Valley Gardens NSW Aug 31 – Sept 30) – features floral displays, garden talks and more.
- Tulip Time Festival (Bowral NSW Sept 24 – Oct 7) – with garden tours, entertainment and more than 60,000 tulips.
- Kings Park Festival (Perth WA Sept 1 – 30) – a showcase for WA wildflowers, with guided walks, flower displays and free concerts.
- Spring Community Festival (Hobart TAS Oct 5 – 6) – held at the Royal Tasmanian Botanical Gardens, with displays and plenty of childrens’ entertainment.
